Director
Ms. Buffy has over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and childcare. She is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. With decades of hands-on experience, she is committed to supporting families, mentoring staff, and maintaining high-quality standards. Ms. Buffy believes every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and prepared for future succes

Ms. Seymore
Lead VPK Teacher
Ms. Seymore is a dedicated VPK teacher who is passionate about helping children build a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond. She creates a nurturing, engaging classroom where students develop early literacy, math, and social skills through hands-on learning and positive encouragement. Ms. Seymore believes in supporting the whole child and partnering with families to ensure every student feels confident, capable, and excited to learn.

Assistant Teacher
Our Teacher Aide plays an important role in supporting the classroom and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment. They assist the lead teacher with daily activities, help students stay engaged, and provide extra encouragement and care throughout the day. With a caring heart and a team-focused mindset, our Teacher Aide helps ensure every child feels supported, valued, and ready to learn.

Amos Almand
Amos is a well-known builder/developer in Duval County who has built public and private companies ranging from medical imaging centers, a boutique commercial insurance company, and an industry-leading wound care company still based in Jacksonville with centers all over the world. He has served as CFO and Chairman of these boards and others.

Brenda McCullers
Brenda has her Master’s Degree in art education from the University of Florida and taught VPK through 12th grade art for over 20 years at a private school in south Florida. She serves on the Care Team at COE22 and has worked with church youth and young adults for over 25 years. Not only does Brenda lead women’s Bible study groups, but she is host of a Christian podcast.

Katelin Reier
Katelin Reier holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and has over 10 years of experience in education. She is passionate about creating Christ-centered learning environments that nurture the whole child—academically, socially, and spiritually. Katelin is committed to partnering with families and staff to foster growth, excellence, and a strong foundation rooted in faith at Learning Light.

John Galeani
John Galeani brings over 20 years of experience in education and currently serves as Principal at Global Leadership Academy (GLA). He is a dedicated leader who is passionate about fostering a Christ-centered school culture that emphasizes academic excellence, character development, and servant leadership. John is committed to supporting students, families, and staff as they grow both academically and spiritually within the GLA community.
